Volunteering At children’s hope Uganda!

Its a blessing to see what the Lord is doing. Well, after working and interacting with APU team Uganda 2013 led by Pastor Woody, Carly Gertz and Leslie Darmanian, the Lord blessed us with enough time to testify what the Lord has done to our lives. I shared my testimony and showed the team my dream and determination in serving the living God

I was super excited to God for working through them. The team blessed Children's Hope Uganda with $350. We have been able to acquire mattresses though you, could also support us with one or two mattresses because the need has aroused.

The balance from this donation has been supporting the ministry in the day today activities like buying food, soap and other pressing needs to the children.

From this team, it did not stop. We were blessed Carly went on and shared the dream with Dr. David Bixby about my vision.

It could not take a minute to realise it was a call from God. The Lord has blessed us with $500 for a house rent where we are housing 15 kids through Dave. More kids have requested for entry and more people are bringing kids to the project. Due to limited resources, funds and lack of support from both the government and lack of donors/partners has made us to limit entry of new kids. You never know, we could allow other entrants through your commitment to partner with us or sponsor a kid that needs your help most.

Without discrimination of race, religion, gender and color, we could assign you a foster child following our criteria

  • A child who has lost his parent/s as a result of AIDS
  • A child who has lost his parent/s due to other factors
  • Abandoned child
  • Children not supported by another NGO
  • A child whose parents are too sick to provide care
  • Infants and toddlers
  • Street children
  • School age children who cannot afford to attend school
  • All these must be eligible for help not because we know them but because they deserve it.

Dave's house rent donation would run up to end of January next year. We would be grateful if someone else could house these children for three more months/a year. Thanks goes to everyone that has supported our ministry. Dave has not stopped from there. He has made consultations with Plant a seed organization that is based in California. This Organization has given Children's Hope Uganda a PAS through the organization to our ministry. All these are blessings from God. Do not just read this without browsing plant a seed website http://plantaseed.org/ to know much about what it does and what you could do.

Through plant a seed, if you would like to support Children's Hope Uganda, do not forget to include a message " For Children's Hope Uganda" all your help goes directly to Children's Hope Uganda and the tax is minimal.

We have sent packages with this team. All the bracelets made from our ministry would provide a meal for one child or two. We are always reminded not to worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about itself. About 50 bracelets sent to Kayla Rawlings from Canada, she has been able to raise $200 dollars that has helped us much in providing meals and other necessities as well.

If you would like to get one and possibly support us in one way or the other, would may contact Bre Williams, Natalie Straw, Alyson Thatcher and Rhonda Thatcher. Their prayers and dedication are really a blessing from God.

We are excited to let you know that Rhonda Thatcher is looking for someone willing to spare $20 dollars or more to join her to provide Christmas meal to  these kids.
If you need blessings from God, this is the season to thank him for what you have and your life by sharing with those in need. You may connect with Rhonda Thatcher through facebook. She is eagerly waiting to hear from you with good news of restoring hope to the hopeless this Christmas festive. If you do not have an account with facebook, you may contact me through katlevis2000@live.com. I would be able to give you her contact. There is no one like our God. With you, greater things will come. Greater things will be done in Kabale.

  1. It's always very inspirational to hear such success stories. It's like a self fulfilling prophecy. It's quite handy to have people like you around. I'm sooooo proud of you for making Children's hope Uganda a dream. I'm proud for meeting the locomotive in you. Keep struggling and hurdling so that someone can have a brighter tomorrow. No one can do what you do better than you.
